The watch was sourced from South America, which underlines the fact that the 3558 was very demanded in America, probably because it was the Calatrava with the highest amount of gold used to produce the complex screw down case. 'To Dear Edgar With Love Mom and Dad 19 June 1972' is written on the case back, indicating that the watch was produced around the 70s, so roughly before Patek started to use the sigma sign on the dial. On top of that, the back of the lug is carrying an inventory number. Over the years, the gold has created a deep rich dark.
