Patek Philippe
First unveiled in 1968, the Golden Ellipse marked a bold break from the conventional watch shapes of its era. The reference 3634, known as the Grande Golden Ellipse, was produced in 1977 and represents the largest version of the model. It stands among the rarest examples ever made. Crafted in 18k white gold, the case measures 38 by 33.5 millimeters—dimensions that feel remarkably contemporary. Despite its size, the watch remains impressively slim at just over 6 millimeters thick, thanks to the ultra-thin self-winding caliber 28-255C movement—the very same mechanism used in the reference 3700 Nautilus. The case design is distinctive, featuring three slender, curved gadroons that encircle the crystal to create a stepped visual effect. Unlike traditional designs with pronounced lugs, the Ellipse achieves a seamless silhouette, interrupted only where the strap meets the case.

Condition
The watch is nice condition overall, the case is polished but has all the hallmarks visible. The crown is in good condition and so are the hands, there is no visible scratch on the crystal. The dial is very nice preserved, only thing to mention is a very little crack at 9 o clock, which only is visible under certain light and angle and does not disturb the rich deep black dial. It comes on the solid gold pin buckle by PP and a fitting strap. Service history unknown, the watch is running fine and nice. You will get the watch in our travel case.
