For sale is a beautifully preserved pink-on-pink Vacheron Constantin ‘Tank’ ultra plano / extra flat, a model you don’t often come across in this configuration. What makes it special is that both the dial and the gold case are finished in pink—a style known as “pink-on-pink.” With an approximate production date in the 1970s, this watch, featuring the extra-flat Caliber 1003, represents a masterpiece of the watchmaking art of that era. What’s more, this superb example comes with the original papers.

Condition
Its excellent condition is worth highlighting: both the dial and the case are in superb condition. The case is sharp and has not been rounded by polishing; I would say it has been polished only very lightly, if at all. The original crown is also well-preserved, the dial has minimal patina, and the hands are in excellent condition. The movement has been recently serviced. You will receive the watch with a gold-plated buckle, the original papers from that era, and a VC folder.
